When Jeremy Van Kampen left in 1997 to concentrate on the Laughing Buddha project, Cosmosis became Bill Halsey's solo project - he credits himself as 'Bilbo Bagginz' on his releases.

A genuine veteran of the scene with a distinguished career, he released the first Cosmosis tracks (The Cannabinoid E.P) released in 1994 on Transient Records with countless 12" vinyl single and compilation releases between 1994 – 2001. Cosmosis (also produces Mumbo-Jumbo) is one of the few artists on the Psy-trance scene with a distinctive sound, Cosmosis is one of the artists, along with Total Eclipse, Hallucinogen, Man With No Name and Astral Projection, that helped pioneer the Goa and Psy-trance sound in the early nineties, releasing one of the first Psy-Trance artist albums, Cosmology in 1996 which is generally regarded as one of the few classic Goa albums.

Not content to rest on his laurels, Cosmosis went on to produce the 1998 release: Synergy, widely regarded as a Psytrance classic.

Later album releases include the best selling Intergalactic in 2000 and Contact in 2002 and produced the side project Speaking In Tongues with DJ Kuma as Mumbo-Jumbo in 2003, 2005 saw the release of the current Cosmosis album Trancendance followed by the Cosmosis compilation Akashic in 2006. With Psychedelica Melodica making six artist albums. The coming Fumbling For The Funky Frequency album will be the seventh Cosmosis original artist album in the series.

Cosmosis' music has also been used in a Hollywood movie soundtrack starring Mickey Rourke. (9 1/2 Weeks II ) Currently Bill divides his studio time between scoring music for animation, making full power dance music and touring Cosmosis worldwide.
